You will take up the Quality responsibilities in On-Board or Ground Space project under the guidance of a Senior Product Assurance Manager or the Quality Manager, if required.

  • You will be involved in daily quality activities within the projects allowing you to develop or further develop your overalls skills in the quality domain.
  • You will also be involved in activities related to the Quality Management System allowing you to acquire an inside in the process of the company.
  • You will develop an overall insight in the different quality assurance disciplines and will specialize in one or more. The areas of concern are “Software Assurance”, “Reliability, Availability, Maintenance and Safety” and “Electric and Electronic Components”.
  • He / She is designing modems and communication systems from information source to destination.
  • He / She is responsible for analysis / design / validating and implementation of wireless communications and earth observation systems on various platform (software or FPGA).
  • He / She applies his / her knowledge in digital modulations, waveforms, the propagation channel (Doppler effect, propagation effects, noise) and base-band processing in both transmitter and receiver.
  • He / She is responsible for the preparation of documentation (justification files, conceptual and detail design, performance analysis, …).
  • He / She becomes part of a space flight and ground modem development team.
  • He / She is able to understand and perform critical analysis of customer requirements.
  • He / She leads a proposal preparation team to ensure the execution of all technical and programmatic activities, required for the timely delivery of the proposal.
  • He / She negotiates with industrial partners concerning their participation to the proposals.
  • He / She defines the bidding strategy, with the support of the company management.
  • He / She supports in the establishment of the goals & strategy of Antwerp Space.
  • He / She becomes part of a space flight team. 
  • He / She is responsible for selection, evaluation and qualification of EEE components for space applications, in line with project requirements. 
  • He / She provides expert technical support on designs, applications, processes and failure analysis with respect to EEE components. 
  • He / She performs component radiation analysis and supervises radiation tests. 
  • He / She acts as technical expert at customer reviews, providing justification for any deviation with respect to applicable standards.
  • He / She supports procurement of electronic components and subsystems. 
  • He / She supports subcontractors performing electronic board manufacturing, assembly and test. 
  • He / She liaises with project Product Assurance.

In order to strengthen our RF & Microwave design team we want a colleague (M/F) with a passion for analog electronics and high frequency techniques, who wants to take part in the development of telecommunication equipment for space for both on-board of the satellite and satellite ground stations. Your responsibility  in the cooperation with your colleagues of the team are:

  • System Design:
    Analysis of specifications for telecommunication systems, definition of system topology and derivation of subsystem specifications. You are able to subdivide a telecommunication system in its key building blocks, such as local oscillator, frequency convertor, modulator. You have good notions of key performance parameters of system building blocks, such as phase noise, gain compression point, intermodulation products, return loss, insertion loss,…
  • Circuit Designer:
    Design, simulation and test of RF & microwave also linear or switching DCDC converters and analog signal conditioning High-speed digital signals and  signal integrity
  • PCB design:
    PCB layout with a suitable software package

You are responsible for the daily follow-up of subcontractors that deliver products, processes and services to Antwerp Space in the frame of ESA projects. You are part of a project team that is led by a Project Manager and a Technical Lead, and together with them and the other team-members you foster a good team-spirit and collaboration. Your duty is to steer and monitor the various outsourced activities within the project and to follow-up that the subcontractors are fulfilling the requirements of a specific sub-system.

  • He / She identifies business development opportunities within selected institutional & commercial programs.
  • He / She defines the positioning strategy and salient factors to raise the chances of success with the support of the company management.
  • He / She negotiates with industrial partners concerning their participation to the proposals.
  • He / She supports in the establishment of the goals & strategy of Antwerp Space.

You are responsible for the Procurement of products, processes and services. The main focus of your task will be on the procurement of Subcontracted activities mainly in the frame of ESA projects. Together with the internal Customer, the Project Manager, you decide on and negotiate with the right subcontractor fulfilling the requirements of a specific sub-system.

  • He / She becomes part of a space flight equipment development team
  • He / She is responsible for selection of EEE components for space applications, in line with project and quality requirements
  • He / She performs detailed electronic design and is responsible for board production from layout up to testing
  • He / She performs component radiation analysis, parts stress analysis, worst case analysis and reliability analysis
  • He / She supports procurement of electronic components and subsystems
  • He / She acts as technical expert at customer reviews

You will head the Project Office of large Satellite on-board Communication projects.

Task content:

  • Implement the project as defined in the contract and SOW by the customer and allocate the resources as needed for a successful project implementation (in time, in cost, in quality).
  • Acting as direct interface to all external organisation, like ESA or  Prime contractor,  industrial partners & subcontractors.

You will be the Quality authority for one or more on-board Satellite Communication projects.

  • The daily quality responsibility in the project will be your main task. This will be the quality management of several subcontractors or suppliers that will deliver subsystems or components to Antwerp Space. Furthermore the person will also manage the quality activities which need to be done on the Antwerp Space design and AIT level.
  • The activities that will need to be performed are reviewing of documentation, auditing, performing or assessing certain quality related analysis, participating or organizing reviews, managing the NCRs and RFD/RFWs, creating quality related documentation, plans and reports, etc.
  • As a Senior Quality responsible also a sufficient high level of knowledge in one or more Quality Assurance disciplines should be available. The areas of concern are “Software Assurance”, “Reliability, Availability, Maintenance and Safety”, “Electric and Electronic Components”.
  • He / She becomes part of flight products developments team
  • He / She is responsible for electrical, thermal, radiation and mechanical analyses and system definition
  • He / She takes a role in the overall technical design of the product
  • He / She takes a role in the redaction of the system test plan and test cases

As project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of a flight electronics development. You will act as the first point of contact towards the customer and will be steering an internal team of 5-10 multi-disciplinary engineers. You take the lead in managing the subcontractors and suppliers.
