Our photonics team is very proud to say that today we had our new high-end optical table installed!

It’s placed on the foundations of the building, floating on air cushions and mechanically damped, to allow ultra-sensitive measurements to be performed without disturbances or vibrations from external factors.

Using this setup, our state-of-the-art research in photonic integrated circuits can be measured in the optical and RF/microwave domain up to Q/V-band, with unprecedented accuracy.

This June, Antwerp Space will be present at the 53rd edition of the International Paris Air Show Le Bourget.

Since the very first show in 1909, the event has brought together all the players in this global industry around the latest technological innovations. It has become the most important meeting place to follow developments within the aerospace market.

Every afternoon, you can watch spectacular flying displays and the last three days, the event will be open to the general public.

Our Microwave Photonics Engineer Hakimeh Mohammadhosseini will be presenting Photonic Integration Technology as an enabler for new & improved communication equipment for space applications.

The European Photonics Industry Consortium – EPIC – invited Hakimeh Mohammadhosseini, one of our Microwave Photonics Engineers to give a presentation during their Online Technology Meeting.

She presented Antwerp Space’s latest activities in the field of integrated microwave photonics for satellite communication & radar receiver applications and how they will pave the way towards satellite communication for Q/V to Ka-band and radar receiver applications.
